Is this algae in my tank?

It is growing within the tank goblet its light or an incredibly light brown color which is stringy and form of hanging from the base stuck to the glass.

If it can be brownish, the item sound a lot more like hydra.

If it’s hydra.It isn’t really harmful to be able to larger fish nonetheless it can poke the more compact fishes or even fly and kill these.Google online to choose the detail to reduce them.

A picture would most likely help, but it appears like what you’ve got are Hydras rather than algae.

Hair algae probably.
